Jimmy Ray “Stick” Stanley, 91 of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Sunday December 21, 2025 at his home.
Memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
A native of Fairfax County, VA, he was a son of the late George Oliver Stanley and Ann Mitchell Cavanaugh and had lived most his life in Reidsville. He was a retired employee of Guilford Mills and later he owned and operated Gordon Williams Service Station in Reidsville. Stick truly enjoyed going to flea markets, auctions and having yard sales. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, and was a hard worker. He loved being with his family and looked forward to family gatherings. Stick was preceded in death by his wife Alease Paschal Stanley, a brother: Junior Stanley, sisters: Virginia Brock, Mildred Williams, Gracie Riley, and a granddaughter: Michelle Dillion.
Survivors include: his son: Shawn Stanley of Reidsville, daughters: Terry Dillion (Vann) of Danville, Theresa Stanley of Reidsville, step-daughter: LeAnn Hodnett of Reidsville, sister Louise Goodson of Mooresville, NC, grandchildren: Louis Dillion (Bobbie), Ashley Robertson, Jacob Hodnett (Kristy), Joel Hodnett (Erin), Jennie Lea Hall (Lance), and Cameron Stanley, and great grandchildren: Charlie, Grace, Luke, Ava, Adam, Gatlynn, Cade, Alicia, Angel and Mylie.
