Jim Hardy “Jimmy” Cochran, 57, of Reidsville, died December 31, 2021 at his home. The family will conduct a memorial service 3:00 P.M. Saturday January 15, 2022 at Redemption Through Him Ministries 1443 Harrison St. Reidsville, NC with Rev. Chris Cox officiating. A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late John H. Cochran, II and the late Ethel Morrison Cochran and had lived his entire life in Rockingham County. He was a former employee of Asplundh Tree Service, attended Reidsville Baptist Church and was a devoted fan of professional wrestling. Jimmy enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by an uncle who raised him: James Monroe "Shorty" Cochran, a brother: John H. Cochran, III, an infant sister: Rita and a nephew: Eddie Cochran. Survivors include his sons: Jim Hardy Cochran, II of the home, and Tyler Orr (Kaela) of Danville, VA, step-son: Mark Sams, Jr. of Winston-Salem, step-daughter: Haley Hunt (Jacob) of Eden, grandchildren: Audrey Orr, Hayden Hunt, and Gabriel Saferight, brothers: Jay Cochran (Melody) of Conway, SC, and James Cochran of Huntsville, AL, sister: Susan Woods of Eden, special nephew: John Cochran, IV of Reidsville, special niece: Dreama Woods Beasley (John) of Reidsville, special great nieces: Marissa Cochran and Brianna Cochran and daughter K.K. Cochran all of Reidsville, close special friend and mother of his son: Kristi Southard of Reidsville, and the mother of his granddaughter: Angel Bowman-English of Reidsville and a number of nieces and nephews.
