Jeffrey Wayne Dowell

Jeffrey Wayne “Jeff” Dowell of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday August 1, 2025 at his home

There will be no formal memorial services.

A native of Guilford County, he was the son of the late Cornelius David and Velma Frances Ferris Dowell and had lived in Reidsville since 2020 moving here from Asheboro. He was a former cook at Western Sizzlin Steak House and had formerly worked in the Cafeteria of Guilford College. Jeff was a huge fan of UNC Chapel Hill Basketball, and loved his dogs. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, yard work, and cooking. A member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Greensboro, he was preceded in death by a brother: Clifton F. Dowell.

Survivors include his sisters: Jennie Annette Rice of Greensboro, and Gloria Dowell of Randleman, NC, and many loving nieces and nephews.
