James Watt "Tim" Allen

James Watt “Tim” Allen,91, went to be with his Lord on Friday, March 17, 2023, at his home. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Happy Home Church Cemetery.  The family will see friends immediately following the service. Born on February 20, 1932 in Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late John Watt and Bessie Perkins Allen and had lived in the Oregon Hill Community most of his life.  Tim was retired from Lorillard Tobacco Co., was a member of Happy Home Church where he had served as a Deacon and had served on the Cemetery Committee.  He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.  Tim was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Edgar Lee Allen, John Willard Allen, and Everette O. Allen, and by sisters, Frances A. Manley and Ella A. Gunn. Surviving is his wife, Margie Strader Allen of the home, son, Timothy Dale Allen and wife, Cheryl H. Allen of Reidsville and his granddaughter, Tracy Lynn Allen of Clearwater, FL.
