James Ray Tacy, 59, died on Monday, July 21, 2025, at his residence.
You are invited to Celebrate the life of Jim Tacy. On Sunday, August 10th at 1:30PM, family and friends will gather at the Men's Club (767 Bethlehem Church Rd. Eden, NC) to share a meal, memories and laughter, in honor of Jim Tacy. You are invited to bring Jim's favorite dish-or yours- and a beverage of your choice, so we can enjoy what he loved most: good food, great company , and meaningful moments. Ice and paper products will be provided.
After the meal, we'll open the floor for anyone who wishes to share a memory or story about Jim. It's a chance to celebrate the way he truly lived-with a full plate, a cold drink, and unforgettable stories.
Naturally, in Jim's style, the gathering will be completely casual. Come as you are, come hungry, and come ready to remember.
A native of Guilford Co., he was a son of the late Samuel Lane Tacy and Jane Walker Tacy and he had lived in Rockingham Co. most of his life. He was the caretaker of the Burton Farm on Harrison Cross Road Loop, a member of the Rockingham County Men’s Club, and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his brother: Stephen L. Tacy (Heather) of Myrtle Beach, SC and a host of good friends.
