James Frank Sisk, Jr., 90, of McLeansville went to be with his Lord on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home-Beacon Place in Greensboro.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Church St. Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. The family will see friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the church and at other times at the home of his son.
A native of Rutherford Co., he was a son of the late James Frank and Inez Franklin Sisk and he had lived most of his life in Guilford Co. He was a retired employee of Lorillard Tobacco Co., a member of Church St. Baptist Church where he had been a member of the choir, a Sunday School Teacher and had served on numerous building committees. Mr. Sisk enjoyed working in his yard, watching UNC Tarheel sports, getting together with his family and friends and he was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. He was a member of the Lorillard Retirees Breakfast Club, he had coached Little League and Pony League baseball with the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Dept. Mr. Sisk was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Dorothy S. Sisk and his brothers: Bill Sisk, Wayne Sisk and John Franklin.
He is survived by his son: Richard Sisk (Pam) of Brown Summit, his daughters: Renee Summers (Larry) of McLeansville and Sophia Potter (Walter) of Kernersville, his grandchildren: Tanner Honeycutt (Sara), Meredith Atkins (Chandler), Kayla Sawyer (Derek), Bryson Summers and Rhett Martin, 3 great grandchildren and 2 on the way, and his special friends: Rick and Janet Thomas. The family would like to thank the staff at Nurturing Hearts Senior Living in Greensboro.
