James Fredrick Revis

James Frederick Revis, 81, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating and burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens with military rites.

A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late Monroe Howard and Susie Barker Revis and lived in Rockingham Co. all of his life.  He was  retired from AT&T, a N. C. National Guard Veteran, a member of Fairview Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and had served on the Property Committee and the Cemetery Committee.  James was an avid hunter, coached both men’s and women’s softball teams for over 20 years and he played with the Lucky City Bluegrass Band.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers:  Walter and Clyde Revis, and his sisters:  Dorothy Terry, Annie Lynch, Elsie Lee, and Mable Gibson.

Surviving is his wife:  Patricia Moore Revis of the home, son:  Jamie Revis of Reidsville, grandchildren:  Taylor Paige Revis and Cameron Payne (Chase), and great grandchildren:  Hadley, Rayn, Scarlett, and June.

The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00PM Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Fairview Baptist Church and at other times they will be at 315 Iron Works Rd.  Reidsville, NC 27320.  Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Revis family and online condolences may be made at www.cittyfh.com
