James Eric Mansfield

Eric Mansfield, 52, of Caswell County, went to be with the Lord Wednesday July 29, 2026 at the Gibson House Ancora Compassionate Care (formerly Hospice of Rockingham County)

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday August 2, 2026 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel Rev. Russell McKinney officiating. Burial; will be in Camp Springs Community Church Cemetery. The family will see friends 2:00 till 3:00 PM Sunday August 2, 2026 before the service at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his aunt: Robin Lovings 190 County Line Rd. Reidsville, NC.

A son of James Hurley Mansfield and Betty Jones Swink, Eric had lived his entire life in the Cherry Grove Community of Caswell County.  He worked for The Boilermakers Union as a Pipefitter, enjoyed riding four wheelers, fishing, hunting, and doing yard work. He looked forward to entertaining his friends and cooking on the grill at his shop.

Survivors include: his mother: Betty Jones Swink and his step-father Ricky Swink of Browns Summit, his father: James Hurley Mansfield of Reidsville, daughters: Kayla Satterfield of Reidsville, and Marissa Albright (Tyler) of Burlington, sister: Melissa M. Richardson (John) of Asheboro, five grandchildren:  Lamar, Kinsley, Kadence, Ace, and granddaughter on the way Hadley.

The family would like to thank special cousin Ashley Cobb, friend Michael Coleman, nephew Daniel Lovelace and the staff of the Gibson House for their care and support throughout Eric’s illness.
