James Henry “Jim” Miller, 68, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Sunday July 23, 2023 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
A time of celebration and fellowship will be held 6:00 till 8:00 PM Saturday July 29, 2023 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of Pauline Gibson.
A native of Alamance County, NC, he was a son of the late Dan O’Neal and Vera McMahan Miller and had lived in Rockingham County for the past 48 years. He was a retired employee of AT&T, enjoyed fishing, boating, swimming, and manicuring his yard. Jim was a former member of the Yanceyville Road Vol. Fire Department and was preceded in death by brothers-in-law Kenneth R. Babcock, Sr. and Brittford Gibson. Survivors include his wife: Cindy Gibson Miller of the home, daughters: Jennifer A. Miller (Keith) of Knightdale, and Crystal R. Ball of Atlantic Beach, FL, son: Robert L. Marsh (Ashley) of Reidsville, brother: Dan O. Miller, Jr. (Cathy) of Wrightsville Beach, sister: Sara Babcock of Gibsonville, mother-in-law: Pauline Gibson of Reidsville, sister-in-law: Kathleen Hawkins (Mike), grandchildren: Ayden Ball (Leah), Carson Ball, Sydnee Marsh (Jimmy), Lucas Marsh, and Jeremiah Marsh, special niece and nephews: Trudy L. Shields (Lou) of Greensboro, Kenneth R. Babcock, Jr. (Dale) of Greensboro, and Nicholas Miller (Melissa) of Littleton, very special great nieces and nephews: Xandria Shields (Chris), Tristin Shields, Jake Babcock, and Henry Babcock, and his furrbabies: Ellie, Winston, Sammy, Oliver, Isabell, Skittles, and Bean.
