Jackie Gordon Strader

Jackie Gordon  Strader, 77, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Friday December 20, 2024 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC

Funeral Services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Sunday December 22, 2024 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Happy Home Church Cemetery. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times will be at the home of his daughter: Jennifer Fincanon 246 Jett Dr. Reidsville, NC.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Gordon Lee and Thelma Gauldin Strader and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a former supervisor with Coca Cola Bottling Company in Reidsville and was a retired employee of Mohawk Carpet Manufacturing in Eden. He enjoyed fishing, attending dirt track races, and woodworking. Jackie was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and enjoyed working in his yard. He loved spending time with family and his grandkids. He looked forward to playing chess and checkers with his grandkids along with telling them far-fetched stories which they delighted in. He was preceded in death by brothers: Dickie Strader, and Jimmy Strader, and sisters: Nancy Page and Coleen Chrismon.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Vera Dickerson Strader of the home, sons: Jeff L. Strader (Rachel) and Jonathan A. Strader (Tracie) both of Reidsville, daughter: Jennifer S. Fincanon (Mike) of Reidsville, grandchildren: Casey Strader (Tyler), Austin Strader (Hollie), Haley Roberts (Cody), Chandler Singleton, Kelsey Petty (Matthew), Makayla Fincanon (Justin), Braxton Fincanon, Avery Strader, and Sadie Strader. great grandchildren: Tripp Hess. Emery Strader, Rowan Roberts, Deacon Roberts, and Layne Petty.
