Inez Geraldine "Gerry" McLendon Radford

Inez Geraldine McLendon “Gerry” Radford, 93, of Eden went to be with the Lord Saturday August 13, 2022 at the Gibson House Hospice of Rockingham County. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 17, 2022 in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends at the home of her son Wayne Radford 435 Salem Church Rd. Reidsville.  A native of Portsmouth, VA, she was a daughter of the late James Garfield and Mildred Diggs Jensen and had lived in Rockingham County for the past nine years. She was a retired employee of Celanese (formerly Virginia Chemicals) and enjoyed watching television. She loved babies and after retirement she baby sit for a number of infants. Gerry enjoyed helping her neighbors in Portsmouth, and was preceded in death by a son: William Randolph “Randy” Radford, her adoptive father: Jack McLendon, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her son: Wayne Radford (Charlotte) of Reidsville, daughters: Anita Radford-Black of Eden, and Jackie R. Edmondson of Seguin, TX, nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Radford family.
