Ida Jayne Goodwin Courts, 78, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Sunday September 6, 2020 at Beacon Place in Greensboro, NC. According to her wishes, there will be no formal visitation or funeral service. A native of Anson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Huey E. and Ruby Starnes Goodwin and had lived in Rockingham County most of her life.  She was a retired farmer and home maker and a member of Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church. Jayne was preceded in death by her husband:  Samuel “Don” Courts, a sister: Rena G. Hinkle, and brothers: Edward “Geter” Goodwin and Henry “Chee” Goodwin. Survivors include her sons: Samuel D. “Sammy” Courts and wife Stefanie of Pelham, and Allen Courts of Ruffin, a daughter: Robin C. Evans and husband Tim of Savannah, GA, brother: Jamie Goodwin of Reidsville, sisters: Pam Robertson and Mary “Chick” Vernon and husband John both of Reidsville, sister-in-law: Louise Goodwin of Candor, NC, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
