Hubert Wayne Coe

Hubert Wayne Coe, 83, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Monday January 6, 2025 at Commonwealth Senior Living – Stratford House in Danville, VA

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday January 10, 2025 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Victor Johnson officiating. The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 PM Thursday January 9, 2025 at Citty Funeral Home.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Willie Lee and Estelle King Coe and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a licensed electrician and was retired from GTE Electronics/AMI Doduco, where he worked in the maintenance department. Wayne enjoyed fishing, and bowling in his younger years. He enjoyed traveling and had traveled to: Hawaii, Alaska, and Europe  along with many cruise ship tours. He was preceded in death by brothers: Buford Coe, Joseph Coe and Robert Coe, and sisters: Alice Ward and Elizabeth Nelson.  

Survivors include his daughter: Mindy J. Adams (Brandon) of Danville, VA  and his son: Mark Coe (Karen) of Browns Summit, grandchildren: Joshua Knight, Lauren Byers (Logan), Brittain Scott, Roman Scott, and Courtney Scott, great grandchildren: Colt, Bannon, Lacey, and Holley.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Commonwealth Senior Living – Stratford House and Commonwealth Hospice for their care and concern throughout Mr. Coe’s illness.
