Howard Roosevelt Halbrook, 91, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Monday October 8, 2018 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday October 13, 2018 at Lawsonville Road Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will see friends from 2:00 till 3:00 P.M. Saturday October 13, 2018 at Lawsonville Road Baptist Church before the service and at other times will be at the home of his son Robert Halbrook 409 Northwest Market St. Reidsville, NC.

A native of Brushy Mountain, NC, he was a son of the late James Harvey and Ellen Honeycutt Halbrook and had lived in Reidsville for most of his life.  He was a retired supervisor at American Tobacco Company with over forty years of service. A member of Lawsonville Road Baptist Church, he was also a member of the Tarheel T’s (antique car club), and The Rockingham County Bee Keepers Association. Howard was preceded in death by wives: Lucille Halbrook Rudd, and Wanda F. Halbrook, and a sister: Ruth Hawkins.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years: Nola Moore Halbrook of the home, sons: Robert Harvey Halbrook (Darlene) of Reidsville, Johnny Baynes (Cookie) of Greensboro, Larry Baynes of Madison, and Barry Davis of Reidsville, daughter: Cheryl D. Cook (David) of Eden, half-sister Sharon Caudell (Allen ) of Trinity, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
