Henry Thomas Cardwell, Jr., of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday May 24, 2018 at his home.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Henry Thomas and Regina Jackson Cardwell and had lived in Ruffin most of his life. He had worked on the tobacco market in his early years, was a former employee of Golden Belt, and later worked for the State of North Carolina. He was a former member of the North Carolina National Guard, a member of Ruffin United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife Sonda Cremeans Cardwell of the home, sons: Randy Cardwell of Reidsville, and Greg Cardwell and wife Betty Jean of Ruffin, brothers: Craig Cardwell and wife Judy of Reidsville, Robert Cardwell and wife Judy of Ruffin and Brandon Cardwell and wife Glenda of Reidsville, grandchildren: Candace Carver and husband Chad of Ruffin, Dillon Cardwell of Reidsville, Brynn Cardwell of Ruffin, and Teegan Cardwell of Ruffin, great grandchildren: Jaxson Carver and Iris Carver.
