Helen Pegram Holt

Helen Pegram Holt, 93, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 15, 2021, at her residence.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Mission First (formerly First United Methodist Church, where she had been a member), with Rev. Christie Taylor officiating.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens.

A native of Rockingham Co., she was the daughter of the late William Bartlett and Annie Soyars Pegram and she had lived in Reidsville all of her life.  Helen was a member of Woodmont United Methodist Church and she was a retired employee of the American Tobacco Co.  Helen was very active in church and in church activities until her health began to fail.  She was a board member of American Partners Credit Union, was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels, and she helped with the “Care Packages for Christmas” at her church.  Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Walter Jesse Holt, her son; Jonathan Weir Holt, her brothers; Robert Allen Pegram, Norman Pegram, and Joseph Pegram and her daughter-in-law; Terry Glenn Holt.

She is survived by her 3 granddaughters; Kelly Rawlins (Beau), Stacy Holt (Scott McClenny), and Stephanie Holt all of Reidsville, great grandchildren; Allison Renee Neal, Gavin Walter Rawlins and Elijah Gage Rawlins, her sister-in-law; LaVerne C. Pegram, special cousin; Vickie H. Gallagher, special friends; Edna Leonard and Linda Link and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The family will see friends at Helen’s home.  People wishing to pay their respects may come by Citty Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, from 1:00PM until 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Rockingham Co.
