Helen Barnes Golden, 88, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Saturday February 8, 2020 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 12, 2020 at Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Reidlawn Cemetery. A native of Reidsville, NC she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Annie Smith Barnes and had lived in Rockingham County most of her life. She was a retired employee of Belk Department Store and was a member of Covington Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, embroidering, and listening to music. She was preceded in death by her husband: Louis F. Golden, a daughter: Kathy Burgess, and an infant son, a sister: Irene Colvin, and brothers: W.C. Barnes, Forrest Barnes, Robert Barnes, Henry Barnes, and an infant brother, great granddaughters: Taylor London and Meredith London. Survivors include her daughters: Janet Moore (Michael) , Lu Ann Golden, and Robin G. Howell (Terry) all of Reidsville, and Freida G. Bowlin of Eden, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, her two canine companions, a special neighbor: Bobby Dunevant, and many loving nieces and nephews.
