Harold Ernest Martin

Harold Ernest “Ernie” Martin, 62, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2024, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, November 8, 2024, in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby McDaniel, Rev. Brandon Allenand Wayne Powell officiating and burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

A life-long resident of Reidsville, he was a son of the late William J. Martin, Jr. and the late Reavell French Martin McDaniel.  Ernie was retired from Stockhausen Chemical Co. and a member of Vance St. Baptist Church.  He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, wrestling, baseball and football.  Ernie could quote statistics from sports teams off the top of his head.  He was preceded in death by his parents and he is survived by his step-father:  Bobby McDaniel of Reidsville, his sweet heart:  Tammie Marlow of Reidsville and his brother:  William J. “Bill” Martin III of Reidsville.

The family will see friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00AM on Friday, November 8, 2024, prior to the funeral at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Bobby McDaniel 649 King St.  Reidsville, NC 27320.  Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Martin family and online condolences may be made at www.cittyfh.com
