Geraldine Pruitt Garrell

Geraldine Pruitt Garrell, 72, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Friday November 16, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.

Memorial services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Sunday November 18, 2018 at Draper Christian Church 1116 W. Fieldcrest Rd. Eden, NC. The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. before the service at the church and at other times will be at the residence.

A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Joe Willie Pruitt and the late Ruby Jones Johnson and had lived in Rockingham County her entire life. She was a member of Draper Christian Church and was a retired dispatcher with Light Weight Block Co. in Eden. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother: Jerry Wayne Pruitt and a sister: Rebecca Pruitt.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years: Richard L. Garrell of the home, a son: Richard L. Garrell, Jr. of Reidsville, a daughter: Jennifer G. Somers of Wilmington, a sister: Patricia P. Sattenfield of Raleigh, grandchildren: Jacob Somers, Kaitlin Somers and Lillie Somers all of Reidsville.
