George Lee Martin

George Lee Martin, of Eden, NC formerly of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Thursday January 8, 2026 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday January 12, 2026 at Lowes United Methodist Church with Rev. Sharon Lee and Pastor Les Herod officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will see friends 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. before the service at the church and at other times will be at the home of his son Ryan Martin192 Patriot Lane Reidsville, NC

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Coy and Margaret Faucett Martin and had lived his entire life in Rockingham County. Lee was a retired employee of Zarn Corp. with 42 years of service, he loved fishing, and sharing his bounty of fish with his friends and neighbors. He also loved Reidsville football and baseball, UNC Basketball, his sons and his grandchildren. He was dedicated to his church Lowes United Methodist and enjoyed being a part of the Men’s Organization of the church. He cooked at community events that the church sponsored. He also enjoyed fixing things around the house, and gardening. Lee was preceded in death by his wife: Peggy Murray Martin, and a sister: Barbara Simpson.

Survivors include his sons: Brandon L. Martin (Stephanie) of Eden, and Ryan B. Martin (Amber) of Reidsville, and his grandchildren: Connor Martin, Jaxon Martin, Chase Martin, Haley Hudgins, Parker Smith, and special nieces and nephews: Pam White, Donna Caras, Gerald Murray, and Randy Simpson.
