Gary Wilson Handy Sr., 63, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Sunday March 3, 2019 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday March 6, 2019 at Liberty Baptist Church.  Burial will be at Greenview Cemetery.

A native of Rockingham County, He was a son of the late Solomon L. and Elizabeth Wilson Handy and had lived his entire life in Rockingham County. A retired employee of Tyco Electronics in Winston-Salem, he was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Gary was an accomplished  bluegrass musician, and was able to play many different instruments. He  was preceded in death by an infant brother James Thomas Handy. 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years: Donna Cruise Handy of the home, sons: Robert Ray Handy (Shannon) of Reidsville, and Gary W. Handy, Jr. (Tiffany) of Kernersville, daughter: Amanda Handy Lucas (Steve) of Reidsville, sisters: Shirley H. Reynolds, and Robin Lawson both of Reidsville, thirteen grandchildren.

The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Tuesday March 5, 2019 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of his daughter Amanda Lucas.
