Francis Daniel "Danny" Jones

Francis Daniel “Danny” Jones, 76 of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Friday October 22, 2021 at Annie Penn Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday October 25, 2021 in Mizpah United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bethany Johnson and David Langston officiating. A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late Rupert O. “Jack” Jones, Sr. and the late Frances Wagoner Jones and had lived in the Monroeton Community of Rockingham County his entire life. He was a retired  security officer with American Express for 25 years of service and sold produce at the Reidsville Farmer’s Market for many years. In 1967, he was a founding member of the Monroeton Vol. Fire Department where he was currently on the Board of Directors, was a former Assistant Chief,  and was a First Responder. Danny had over fifty years of service to the fire department. A member of Mizpah United Methodist Church he was preceded in death by his parents: a brother: Rupert O. “Ruchie” Jones, Jr., and a sister: Joanne J. Stanley. Survivors include his wife of 47 years: Beverly P. Jones of the home, sister: Nancy J. Langston and husband Mason of Reidsville, sister-in-law: Jann B. Jones of Reidsville, and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Memorials may be sent to: Monroeton Vol. Fire Department  9252 US Hwy 158 West Reidsville, NC   27320 or to Mizpah United Methodist Church 733 Mizpah Church Rd. Reidsville, NC   27320. The family will see friends at the home of his sister-in-law: Jann B. Jones 180 Joneslan Trail Reidsville, NC and in the Fellowship Hall of Mizpah United Methodist following the service.
