Frances Lee Faucette Maynard, 102, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Monday July 24, 2023 at the Gibson House Hospice of Rockingham County.
A graveside memorial service will be conducted 3:00 P.M. Saturday July 29, 2023 in Greenview Cemetery with Rev. Mark Tanner officiating.
A native of Reidsville, she was a daughter of the late Lee Roy and Maude Tate Faucette and had lived her entire life in Reidsville. She graduated from Reidsville Senior High and attended both Elon College and Guilford College. During WWII she worked at the local draft board. She later worked at the Rockingham County Welfare Department (now Social Services) and the Rockingham County Tax Department. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Greensboro. She was a member of First Congregational Christian Church (now Grace Fellowship at South Park), and the Woman’s Fellowship at the church. Frances was a charter member of the Faithful Seekers Sunday School Class at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Edgar Maynard, her son: Steven F. Maynard, her sister: Alice Wray Faucette Callahan, and her brother: H. Wiley Faucette.
Her grandson: Brent T Maynard of Hampstead, NC is her only survivor.
