Evelyn Anne Soyars Garrett

Evelyn Soyars Garrett, 59, of Eden, went to be with the Lord Wednesday March 8,  2023 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday March 13, 2023 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Chapmon officiating. A private burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. Sunday March 12,2023 at Citty Funeral Home and at other times will be at the home of her mother Virginia Soyars 1544 Bethlehem Church Rd. Reidsville, NC. A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of Virginia Griffin Soyars and the late James Melvin Soyars and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County.  She was a former travel agent in Virginia Beach, VA and Richlands, NC. Evelyn was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church and was a true animal lover. She had a green thumb and could grow anything. She enjoyed trips to the beach, anything to do with lighthouses, NASCAR, and going to air shows. Evelyn was a Carolina Tarheel fan and enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys. She is survived by her daughters: Brittany Angell and fiance’ Michael of Reidsville, Amanda Gardner (Nick) of Whitsett, Kendel Garrett of Richlands, and Jennifer Garrett of Eden, her mother: Virginia Griffin Soyars of Reidsville, and her brother: Mark Tyron Soyars of Reidsville, her grandchildren: Xander Pulliam, Anthony Pulliam, and Theodore Gardner.
