Evelyn Dixon Carter

Evelyn Dixon Carter, 93, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the Rockingham Co. Hospice Home.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00AM Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dave Huggins officiating.
A native of Chatham Co., she was a daughter of the late Harry Thomas and Bertha Clark Dixon and had lived in the Sandy Cross Community of Rockingham Co. most of her life. Evelyn was a retired employee of the American Tobacco Co., a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and she was preceded in death by her husband; Thomas Herman Carter.
Surviving is her daughter; Regina “Gina” Carter of the home, sister; Maxine D. Fargis (Mike) of Reidsville, brothers; Bernice “Bernie” Dixon of Reidsville, Max Dixon (Judy) of Rocky Mt., and Don Dixon of Shelby, and many loving nieces and nephews.
