Eva Pettigrew O’Bryant, 105, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Saturday March 21, 2020 at the Penn Nursing Center. Private graveside services will be conducted Thursday March 26, 2020 at Evergreen Memory Gardens. Mrs. O’Bryant’s body will lie in state at Citty Funeral Home from 8:00 A.M. till 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday March 25, 2020. The public is welcome to come and sign her register and show your sympathy. A public memorial service will be conducted at a later date. The family will see friends following this memorial service. A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of the late John and Lelia Stanley Pettigrew and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County. She and her husband Sidney O’Bryant owned and operated S.T. and D.E. O’Bryant Diary in the Monroeton Community of Rockingham County for many years. Eva was the oldest member of Speedwell Presbyterian Church, where she was an Elder, sang in the choir for over 40 years and held offices in the Presbyterian Women. She loved her family, her church family, cooking , crocheting, and enjoyed square dances and old time country music. She was preceded in death by her husband: Sidney T. O’Bryant, sisters: Dora Mae Apple and Edna Denny, and a brother: Henry Pettigrew. Survivors include her sons: Thomas Wiley O’Bryant (Mary Anne) of Spring Branch, TX and Ellis O’Bryant (Dianne) of Reidsville, 5 grandchildren: Janet O’Bryant, Doyle O’Bryant (Tracy), Daryle O’Bryant (Kristi), Scott O’Bryant (Julie), Kathleen Galarza (Tom), 11 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends especially Brenda O’Bryant.
