Eugene Irvin "Gene" Lasley, Jr.

Eugene Irvin “Gene” Lasley, Jr., 82, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Friday September 15, 2023 at the Gibson House, Hospice of Rockingham County. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Monday September 18, 2023 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens. The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. Monday September 18, 2023 at the funeral home before the service and at other times at the residence. A native of Rockingham County, he was the son of the late Eugene Irvin and Lois Vaughn Lasley and had lived in Rockingham County his entire life. He was a US Navy Veteran and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. A retired employee of Hall Well and Plumbing, he was a former employee of Burlington Industries (Reidsville Plant). Gene was a member of the United Methodist Men of Salem United Methodist Church and enjoyed working in his yard and goldfish pond, woodworking, and gardening.  Survivors include his wife: Berla Jones Lasley of the home, and a number of special nieces and nephews and friends.
