Eston Lyrick Hanks

Eston Lyrick Hanks, 42, of Orangeburg, SC, formerly of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Thursday January 9, 2025 at the Gibson House Ancora Compassionate Care (Formerly Hospice of Rockingham County).

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday January 15, 2025 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. The family will see friends 10:00 till 11:00 AM before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memory Gardens.

A native of Reidsville, he is the son of Randy Walter Hanks and Johanna Earles Hanks and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a member and the minister of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Orangeburg, SC and had formerly attended Bible Baptist Church in Reidsville. Eston was an employee of United Health Care, where he designed training materials. A loving husband, father, and faithful servant of Jesus for 28 years. He enjoyed reading, Star Trek, physics, and chess. He spent much time working on his family’s genealogy and enjoyed collecting Coca Cola memorabilia.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years: Kendra Niemczura Hanks of the home, daughter: Helen Michelle Hanks of the home, son: Walter Lyrick Hanks of the home, father: Randy Walter Hanks (Janet) of Reidsville, mother: Johanna Earles Hanks of Reidsville, sister: Robin Michelle Sherman (Todd) of Broadway, NC, maternal grandmother: Katherine Fuller Earles of Reidsville, step-sister: Cassie Royster of Reidsville, father and mother-in-law: Mike and Tamesia Niemczura of Reidsville, and a number of loving nieces and nephews.
