Elwood Otis Shreve

Elwood Otis Shreve, 83, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Friday December 27, 2024 at his home.

Private Graveside Services will be conducted at a later date.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Otis Elwood and Gracie Clifton Shreve and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a former employee of Pepsi Cola Company and Sunshine Bakeries and a retired District Manager with The Greensboro News and Record. He was a member of Reidsville Baptist Church and had read the Bible in 84 hours. Elwood enjoyed working in his yard and building model cars, boats and other things. He was preceded in death by his wife Jewell Undean Mills Shreve, his son: John Paul Shreve, his sister: Carolyn Marie Martin and his grandson: Joshua.

Survivors include his son: Mark Otis Shreve (Marti) of Elon, daughters: Mary Anne Shreve Preston (Steve) of Bassett, VA, Jeanette Elizabeth Compton of Asheville, and Christen Denise McLean (Nicki) of Raleigh, his sister: Susan Joan Aguirre of Greensboro, eight grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
