Elizabeth Mae (Roark) Loftis

Elizabeth Roark Loftis, 87, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Monday May 20, 2019 at her home. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  There will be no formal visitation.

A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Rhoda McAlister Roark and lived in Rockingham County her entire life.  She was a homemaker, enjoyed growing tomatoes, flowers, and working in her yard .  Elizabeth loved cats and was a talented seamstress, she made many of her own clothes that looked as though they had been purchased at a department store.   She was preceded in death by her husband;  Melvin Loftis, , and 2 daughters;  Cynthia Wray & Kathy Smith, 2 brothers;  Jack Roark & Bill Roark, and a grandson;  Jonathan Loftis.

Survivors include daughters: Regina L. Biggs and husband ; Thomas of Reidsville and  Melody L. Mitchell, son;  Jerry Loftis, Sr. and wife;  Cynthia of Reidsville, 12 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 16, great  great grandchildren.

Citty Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
