Edward Eugene “Ed” May, 75, of Caswell County, went to be with the Lord Saturday October 2, 2021 at his home. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Wednesday October 6, 2021 in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Jeff McCann officiating. A native of Guilford County, he was a son of the late William Calvin and Mary “Pete” Lucas May and had lived most of his life in Caswell County. He was a former employee of Burlington Mills, Glen Raven Mills, and Williams-Trull Tractor Co. where he worked as a mechanic. Later he owned and operated Done Right Welding in Caswell County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the Atlanta Braves Baseball, gardening (especially tomatoes), and watching T.V. Ed was preceded in death by two grandchildren: Brian Keith May, and Matthew Aidan Elkins, a brother: Wayne May, and two half-brothers: Junior May and James May. Survivors include his wife of 56 years: Brenda Paschal May of the home, son: Robert Eugene May of the home, daughters: Tammy M. Martin (Donald) and Crystal M. Elkins (Iran) both of Caswell County, brother: Jesse May of Wentworth, sisters: Shirley Shelton of Greensboro, and Barbara Ann Bowden (Homer) of Kernersville, three grandchildren: Samantha Elkins, Hunter Martin (Jennifer) and Jacob Elkins, one great grandchild: Brayden Martin.
