Edward Soyars "Eddie" Butler

Edward “Eddie” Soyars Butler, 73, of Reidsville, NC went to be with the Lord Monday September 5, 2022 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 8, 2022 at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Duncan and Rev. David Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. Thursday September 8, 2022 before the service at the church and at other times at the home.  The family asks that those attending please wear masks or face coverings.  A native of Rockingham County, the son of the late John L. and Annie Virginia Soyars Butler and had lived in Rockingham County all his life. He was a machinist with South/Win Ltd. and was a dairy farmer. He was an active member of Sharon Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and Treasurer for three funds at the church. Survivors include his wife of 46 years: Deborah Gauldin Butler of the home, son: John Matthew Butler (Brittany) of Reidsville, daughter: Amy B. Huneycutt (Jake) of Indian Trail, NC, sisters: Linda Ann Butler of Reidsville, and Johnna Lane Nudd of Eden, three grandchildren: Blake Butler, Catherine Huneycutt, William Huneycutt and a niece: Marta Nudd.  Memorials may be sent to: The Building Fund at Sharon Baptist Church 3540 Iron Works Rd.
