Earl Dodge Hopkins, Jr., 90, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Wednesday March 4, 2026 at his home.
There will be no formal funeral services.
A native of Providence, R.I, he was the son of the late Earl Dodge and Beatrice Cuskie Hopkins and had lived most of his life in Rockingham County. He retired first from ARA Cafeteria Services and later he retired again from Food Lion having initially worked in the deli at the Food Lion on Way St. in Reidsville and later he worked in the deli at the Food Lion in Summerfield. Earl was a fan of all sports, he played baseball in high school and later in life he was an avid fan of the New York Giants professional football team and all sports at the University of Indiana. A proud US Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Earl Dodge Hopkins, III.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years: Sylvia Harris Hopkins of the home, daughter: Kim Lewis (Paul) of Reidsville, a son: Christopher G. Hopkins of Huntersville, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and his furry companion: Nikki.
