Dorothy Ruth Stone

Dorothy Ruth “Dot” Stone,70, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Tuesday December 19, 2023 at Yanceyville Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Yanceyville, NC. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A native of Rockingham County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Parrott Stone and had lived most of her life in Reidsville. She was a former employee of Maplewood Nursing Center and a former waitress at The Sanitary Café. Dot enjoyed drawing, different types of music,  watching westerns on television, and visiting with friends and family. She was very caring and independent and enjoyed helping people. Dot was preceded in death by her son: Marvin Lee Lynn, her brothers: Larry Stone and Michael Anthony Stone and a sister; Jeanette Stone. Survivors include her daughter: Kelly Ann Winnie (Sidney) of Zebulon, her sons: Billy Ray Williams (Mary Lawson) of Jacksonville, Donnie Wiliams (Amber) of Havelock, John Gipson (Erica Wells) of Erwin, Jason Loftis (Michelle) and Allen Loftis (Kathy Morales-Loftis) both of Dunn, her sister: Peggy Stone of Roxboro, and her brother: Barry Stone (Judy) of Missouri, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
