Dorothy Grey Pearson

Dorothy Grey “Dot” Pearson, 91, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at the Penn Nursing Center.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, June 4, 2021, at Lowes United Methodist Church and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

A native of Rockingham county, she was the daughter of the late George Dillard “Doc” and Elizabeth French Pearson and she had lived in the Williamsburg Community most of her life.  She was a retired Administrative Assistant with Wacovia Bank & Trust with 21 years of service and a member of Lowes United Methodist Church.  Dot was the former treasurer and a former choir member at her church, a former member and Past President of the Pilot Club of Reidsville, Past President of the Federated Woman’s Club, former member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority in Martinsville, VA & Greenville, SC where she was named woman of the year in both sororities.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother;  Robert Harris “Bob” Pearson, and nephews;  David and Victor Pearson.

She is survived by her brother;  Thruston Pearson of Reidsville, niece;  Joan Pearson of Reidsville, nephews;  Kevin Pearson and wife;  Ami of Burlington and Craig Pearson and wife;  Debbie of Reidsville.

The family will see friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Thursday, June3, 2021, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Thruston Pearson  183 Berry Lane  Reidsville, NC  27320.  Memorials may be made to:  Lowe's United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund  c/o Edd Robertson 2030 NC Hwy 87 Reidsville, NC 27320.  Online condolences may be made at www.cittyfh.com
