Obituary

Donzie Maynard “Dee” Thacker, 71 of Ruffin, died peacefully Saturday June 4, 2022 at her home.

According to her wishes, there will be no formal memorial services.

A native of Reidsville, she was the daughter of the late Billy M. and Modina McCall Maynard and had lived most of her life in Rockingham County. She was a former employee of Brookside Creighton Shirtmakers and later worked for the Daycare Center at RCC. Dee was a 1968 graduate of Reidsville Senior High School and was preceded in death by her brother: Mack Maynard.

Survivors include her brother: Joel Maynard and wife Vickie, her cousin and caregiver: Karen W. Adkins , cousins: Mark Welker and Harry Welker, Jr. and wife Susan and her beloved pets: Dink and Sandy.
