Deborah Kay “Debbie” Smith, 70, of Yanceyville formerly of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Friday April 3, 2026 at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life 1:00 PM till 4:00 P.M. April 19, 2026 at Lake Reidsville
A native of Reidsville, she was a daughter of the late Lee and Thelma Davis Smith and had lived in Caswell County for the past four years. She was a former employee of Proctor and Gamble in Browns Summit and was preceded in death along with her parents her brother: Danny Smith and her sister: Judy Smith. Debbie loved her Yorkshire Terriers, chocolate especially Hersey Kisses, the movie “Dirty Dancing” and her sports cars of which she had owned several in her life. Debbie fought a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis for the last 39 years.
Survivors include her son: Jason C. Vaughn and fiancée Sharon Talley of Greensboro, sister: Janet Smith (Danny) of Reidsville, grandchildren: Logan Vaughn, Colton Vaughn, Riley Robertson, Dylan Robertson and Preston Robertson, her friend and former husband: John Willis of Reidsville, special nieces and nephews: Kasey Smith Harbour (Michael) of Reidsville, Jeff Gillie (Amy) of Ocala, FL., Brandy Mathis (Roger) of Gastonia, and Waldo Smith (Alison) of Reidsville, half-sisters Sheila Smith Chilton and Nancie “Punkin” Smith.
The family would like to thank Beverly Rucker and her staff at G. Anthony Rucker Rest Home in Yanceyville for their care and concern throughout Debbie’s stay.
