David Bruce Allen

David Bruce Allen, 67, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 8,2025, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital.

The family will see friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Citty Funeral Home.  There will not be a formal funeral service.

A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late Charle Andrew “Pete” and Ruby Mae Smith Allen and he had lived in Reidsville most of his life.  Bruce was retired from Burlington Industries, he loved his grandchildren and his great grandchildren and he was an avid NASCAR fan and fisherman.  Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his wife:  Brenda Lee McCormick Allen and his sister:  Joyce A. Swaney.

He is survived by his sons:  Dean Stone (Dawn) of Reidsville and David Allen of Taylorsville, his daughter:  Tina Blassingame of Reidsville, his grandchildren:  Silas Allen, Chase Green, Kamden Allen, Katelynn Harrelson, Dustin Wallace, Dakoda Blassingame, Shyanne Blassingame, David Stone (Diamond), Ashlin Stone, Aliyah Stone, Elizabeth Stone and Levi Stone, his great grandchildren:  Jakob Vernon, Roxanne Vernon and Gianna Stone his first wife:  Elizabeth Gibbs Allen of Greensboro, his loving nieces and nephews:  Bobby “B. J.” McKinney, Brittany Reid, Erika Swaney, Deborah Cardwell and Angel Shultz.
