Chyrl Richmond Brown

Chyrl Richmond Brown, 72, of Eden, went to be with the Lord Tuesday March 10, 2026 at the Gibson House Ancora Compassionate Care (Formerly Hospice of Rockingham County).

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Saturday March 14, 2026 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends 12:30 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home before the service.

A native of Rockingham County, she was the daughter of the late Hurley Elvin and Peggy Talley Richmond and had lived her entire life in Rockingham County. Chyrl loved music and was an excellent pianist and vocalist. She had played and sung at many churches, weddings, and funerals throughout her life. She formerly sang with the “Rivers of Joy” quartet and was the retired secretary of G.P. Fabrications. She also loved her family especially her grandchildren more than life itself, and looked forward to all family functions where her entire family was gathered. She had very few hobbies, hers was attending functions of the grandchildren,  which kept her busy. Whether it be sporting events or dance recitals she was always there. Chyrl was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister-in-law: Carol Carter Richmond.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years: Ernest “Red” Brown of the home, son: Brandon K. Brown and wife Autumn of Reidsville, grandchildren: Taylor Grace Brown and Gracyn Elizabeth Brown, her brother: James Steven “Steve” Richmond of Reidsville and a special nephew: Chris Richmond and his wife Stacey of Gibsonville.
