Charles Andrew Wilson, 85, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Dr. Harry Smith and Dr. Lance Cole officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Chattanooga, TN he was a son of the late Joseph William and Alma Hart Wilson and he had lived in Rockingham County since 1957. Charles was retired from Macke Vending and he was a scout master for many years. He was very active in his church and had served as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent , Choir Leader, and had served on the cemetery committee. Charles was the oldest active member of his church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ola Hutchens Wilson, a son, David Charles Wilson, and 2 brothers, Junior Lane and Johnny Wilson. Surviving is his son, Michael Wilson (Jody) of Ruffin, brother, Billy Wilson of Hixson, TN, sisters, Shirley W. Lindsey of Rossville, GA, Barbara Faye Godwin of East Ridge, TN, and Diane Simons of Hixson, TN, grandson, William Cody Martin. The family will see friends from 1:00 till 2:00 PM Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church and at other times at the home of his son: Michael Wilson 380 Estes Rd. Ruffin, NC 27326. Citty Funeral Home is assisting the Wilson family and you may pay your respects and sign a register at the funeral home, until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday April 15, 2023.
