Charles Lindsey Walker

Charles Lindsey Walker, 95, passed on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Annie Penn Hospital.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Citty Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 2:00pm in Greenview Cemetery with Dr. Lance Cole officiating.

A native of the Williamsburg Community of Rockingham County, Lindsey was a son of the late Robert Franklin and Lena Virginia Brooks Walker.  He lived in Reidsville most of his life and was a N.C. National Guard Veteran.  He owned and operated several businesses in Reidsville, including Style Cleaners, Reidsville Laundry and Dry Cleaners, and Walker Upholstery.  Lindsey was an avid golfer, truly enjoyed playing golf with friends, and competed in many area golf tournaments.

Lindsey was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Perdita Saunders Walker, and his 2 brothers: Robert Lee Walker and Dr. J. William Walker.

He is survived by his daughter: Lindsay W. Clinard (Chris) of Reidsville and his son: Charles Eric Walker (Kim) of Nashville, TN, his twin sister: Ellen W. Citty of Reidsville, his grandsons:  Ian Walker, Everett Harrison, Lucas Harrison, Zachary Harrison and Nicholas Clinard and 11 great grandchildren.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to:  the Rockingham Animal Shelter 250 Cherokee Camp Road, Reidsville, NC 27320.
