Charles Eddie Hopkins, Jr., 89, of Reidsville, went to be with the Lord Monday July 26, 2021 at Pelican Health Care of Reidsville

Graveside services will be conducted  at  2:00 PM Friday, July 30, 2021, in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Rev. Ron Tuck and Rev. C. A. “Sandy” Brown officiating.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Charles Eddie and Lydia Myrtle Crouch Hopkins and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He was a retired employee of the North Carolina Department of Transportation and attended Lawsonville Road Baptist Church. He played in the Lucky City Blue Grass Band for twelve years and enjoyed playing Golf. Charles was preceded in death by wives Sarah Starnes Hopkins and  Mattie Robertson Hopkins, his son: Francis Ted Hopkins, and his sisters: Mary Ann Tickle and Martha Jean Chenoweth.

Survivors include his wife : Josephine Chilton Hopkins of the home, his son Terry Lee Hopkins and wife Linda of Reidsville, daughter: Terri Sue Prusia and husband Al of Reidsville, 4 grandchildren,  5 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, special nieces;  Sheila Tickle and Cheryl Dove.

The family will see friends 6:00 till 8:00 PM  Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his son:  Terry Lee Hopkins 215 Basham Dr.  Reidsville, NC  27320.
