Charles Glen Benfield, Jr.

Charles Glen Benfield, Jr., 51, of Bolivia, NC, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 18, 2020.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Saturday, June 27, 2020, in Citty Funeral Home Chapel. In keeping with Glen’s personality, the family encourages everyone to dress casually. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, social distancing will be practiced and face masks are encouraged.

A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late Charles Glen Benfield, Sr. and Margaret Jean “Susie” McDonald Brust and he had lived in Brunswick Co. for the past year. Glen had lived most of his life in Reidsville and he was a former employee of Ball. He was of Baptist faith and was baptized at Community Baptist Church. Glen enjoyed fishing, reading books, watching football, and movies, and just spending time with Mindy.

Preceded in death by his father, Charles Glen Benfield Sr., and surviving wife Sharlene Benfield.

Surviving is his mother, Susie Brust and husband Carl Brust, his fiance’, Mindy Durham of Bolivia, NC, his sons; Zack Benfield of Whitsett, Tyler Benfield and Christian Brinker both of Reidsville, daughters; Kayla Peterman and Tatum Benfield both of Reidsville , his brothers; Brian Benfield (Melissa), Greg Brust (Sarah), Lee Peterman, Steven Peterman (Kim), Ryan Benfield (Sharon), and Nick Benfield (Brittany) all of Reidsville, 3 grandchildren.

The family will be at the home of his brother; Brian Benfield at 775 Dairy Rd. Reidsville, NC 27320 and friends are encouraged to visit the family there on Friday after 5pm.
