Carrie Evelyn Kelly Walker 

August 2, 1927 - October 30, 2022

Evelyn Kelly Walker, 95, formerly of Reidsville entered her eternal home on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Eden Rehabilitation and Health Care. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Citty Funeral Home Chapel in Reidsville. 

A native of Henry County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James William and Carrie Stone Kelly. She was a graduate of Bethany High School and attended Atlantic Christian College in Wilson. 

She retired in 1987 from Sears Roebuck & Co. She was a lifelong active member of her church communities and is best remembered for her gifted musical talents that she graciously shared during worship services and Sunday school. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Bernard Ray Walker, and by her thirteen siblings: Harry, Walter, J.W., Morris, John Lewis, O.V., Dorothy, Clarence, Jasmine, Betty, Thenia, Dessie and Laura. 

She is survived by son David Ray Walker and wife, Ann Dill Walker of Morehead City;  daughter Kathy Walker Hale and husband Steve Hale of Eden; four grandchildren Stephanie Hale Dillion and husband Matthew Dillion of Winston-Salem; Steve Hale and wife Dr. Jennifer Hale of Charlotte; Virginia Connolly Walker of Chapel Hill; and Kathryn Walker of New York City; five great-grand children Walker Dillion of Winston-Salem; and Maxwell, Lucas, Adaline, and Zachary Hale of Charlotte. 

The family would like to thank Julia Moore and Joan Bailey for their love and care. 

A private family burial will take place at later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Reidsville Christian Church at 2020 South Park Drive, Reidsville, NC 27320.
