Carolyn Ingram Burson, 91, of Reidsville went to be with the Lord Monday, November 2, 2020 at Brian Center Eden, N.C.
A native of Albertville, AL, she was a daughter of Loftin F. and Loma Rowland Ingram and lived in Reidsville for the past 63 years.
Survivors include her daughter; Diane B. Bridges (Ron) of Reidsville, grandchildren: Mary Elise Turner Yongue (Jack) of Safety Harbor, Fl, James Seth Turner (Rebekah) of Asheville, N.C. and Merrill Ann Turner of Oak Ridge, NC., and great-granddaughter Daelan Elise McNaught of Safety Harbor, Fl.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, James Dixon Burson Sr., a son, James Dixon Burson, Jr., a sister, Frances I. Law and a brother, Jackson Ingram.
During her life, Carolyn was a member of First Baptist Church, and was a former member of The Reidsville Junior Service League and The Reidsville Garden Club.
Carolyn was a lifelong educator with a great passion for teaching. She attained a Masters Degree in Teaching Reading, taught all grades during her career and served two terms on The Reidsville City School Board.
Private services were held earlier this month.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 409 S. Main Street, Reidsville.
