Carl William "Bill" Fargis

Carl William “Bill” Fargis, 81, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2021, at the Gibson House Hospice of Rockingham Co.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 14, 2021, in Evergreen Memory Gardens with Dr. Gregg Robertson officiating.

A native of Reidsville, he was a son of the late James Robert and Leasie Pickrell Fargis and had lived in Reidsville all of his life.  Bill loved his home state of North Carolina and enjoyed many weekends driving up to the mountains or down to the coast with his family.  He was a retiree of American Tobacco Company.

Mr. Fargis is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Linda Stone Fargis and their three children, William Keith Fargis and wife, Jewel; Lisa Fargis Goodman and husband, Timothy;  Lori Fargis Johnson; and grandchildren, Shane, Brittany, Kristen, Candace, Bradley; and 6 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is Bill’s brother;  J. Michael Fargis and his wife, Maxine.
