Brenda Shelton Wilson

Brenda Shelton Wilson, 77, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Chilton Family Care Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held 2PM Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Heath Lloyd officiating.  A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.

A native of Rockingham Co., she was a daughter of the late Robert Maynard and Bertie Robertson Shelton and she had lived in the Monroeton Community her entire life.  Brenda was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, a retired tax consultant and a graduate of Greensboro College.  She enjoyed playing golf, as she was a member of several ladies’ leagues.  She was happiest being barefoot in her garden.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Wilson and her sister:  Roberta Porter.

She is survived by her daughter:  Donna and her husband:  Tim Hash of Reidsville, her grandson:  Robbie Pryor of Evans, GA and her nephews:  Lawrence Heath (Tammy) of Charlotte and Col. Robert Heath (Shirley) of West Springfield, VA.

The family would like to thank her caregivers at Chilton Family Care Home who treated her like she was their own Mother and a special thank you to the staff of Ancora Compassionate Care (formerly Hospice of Rockingham Co.) for their kindness and care.
