Brenda Butler Serns was born in Caswell County, North Carolina. She attended Cherry Grove Elementary School, Anderson High School as well as Walter Williams High School. Later, Brenda attended Florida International University in Miami, Florida where she was a founding member of the Honor Council as well as a Faculty Scholar graduating at the apex of her class. While living in Miami Beach, Florida, Brenda married the love of her life David Robert Serns. He passed in 2008. On the spot, Brenda got to know everything about her clients, of who became repeat customers because they felt they have known her forever! Family was important to Brenda. More than any other thing, she showered her beloved grandchildren, Victoria, Justin and Jordana with Grandma-time and love. Also there is a brand new great-grandson, David. Her daughters, Regina and Susan were by Mama’s side until God called her home. Her son is Dan Rudd. Brenda is predeceased by her Mother, Florence Iona Saunders, her Father, Eugene “Stokes” Butler, her sisters, Alene Butler Paschal, Elma Butler Somers and Frances Butler Page as well as, infant brothers, Eugene Marion Butler, Eugene Stokes Butler Jr. and brother, Connie Mack Butler.
