Bishop Charles Robert Pruitt

Bishop Charles Robert Pruitt, 70, of Eden, went to be with the Lord Wednesday November 26, 2025 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 Wednesday December 3, 2025 in Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Johnny Cox officiating. The burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will see friends 1:00 till 2:00 P.M. Wednesday December 3, 2025 before the service.

A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of the late Clarence Pittman and Helen Nuckles Pruitt and had lived in Eden most of his life. A retired employee of I.T.G., he had formerly worked at Fieldcrest Mill and Burlington Industries. Charles was a Bishop with the Church of God and was the former minister at White Oak Church of the Living God in Kernersville, NC. He was formerly over the church youth in this district and is currently a member of Fieldcrest Road Church of God in Eden. He enjoyed playing the guitar, loved all kinds of music, and puzzles but most of all helping others was his passion. Charles was preceded in death by his brothers David Daniel Pruitt, Wesley Clarence Pruitt, and his sister Mary Elizabeth Pruitt Woods.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years Talissa Pruitt of the home, his son Charles Robert Pruitt, Jr. of Portland, OR, his daughter Bridgett Pruitt of Stokesdale, NC, his sister Barbara Dale Pruitt Watkins (Raymond) of Reidsville, grandchildren Skilarr Pruitt, Malachi Pruitt, Joseph Gibson, III, and Noah Gibson, along with six nieces and four nephews.
