Billie Jean (Sharpe) Miller

Billie Jean Sharpe Miller, 94, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at the Penn Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Duncan and Rev. David Anderson officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will see friends from 1:00 till 2:00 PM on Sunday at the church and at other times at the home of her daughter:  Pam M. Grant  4517 NC 65 Reidsville, NC  27320.

A native of Rockingham Co., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Bud and Emma Peay Sharpe and she had lived in the Bethany Community most of her life.  Billie Jean was a retired employee of the American Tobacco Co., a member of Sharon Baptist church where she had been a Sunday school teacher and a member of the church choir, and she enjoyed playing Rook and Bingo at the Senior Citizens Center.  Bilie Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dee M. Miller, her son, Eddie Miller, her brothers, Raeford Sharpe and Roy Sharpe and by her sisters, Bronna Booker and Mildred Southard.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam M. Grant of Reidsville, her daughter-in-law, Kathy Bartlett Miller of Spruce Pines, her grandchildren, Matthew Miller (Brandy), Mariea Miller Tountasakis (Michael) and Robert Grant (Jamie), her great grandchildren, Landon Miller, Aubree Miller, Logan Grant and Emma Drew Grant.
